Our History

Dr. John D. Jackson was the first to arrive in Annapolis and joined the well established practice of Internal Medicine specialists Drs. Rodney Brimhall and Peter Various in 1984. He was followed in 1986 by Dr. Andrew Gordon who first joined practice with Drs. Richard Hochman and Bill Kinzer. Dr. Robert A. Miller joined Dr. Gordon in 1990 and Dr. Lisa A. DiMarzio joined with Dr. Jackson in 1993. In 1995, these two group merged together and moved into our present location as Greater Annapolis Medical Group. In 1998, we were able to have join with us, Drs. Kevin OŽKeefe and Birgitta Miller who relocated their practice from Millersville, MD.

We have continued to work closely together sharing similar goals and philosophy. As our practice has grown and expanded over the years, we have strived to maintain close relationships with our patients, our local medical staff and our community. We are the largest single specialty group of General Internal Specialists in the area.

As internists, we manage the entire spectrum of adult health. We are your health care advisors, and are responsible for assisting you in the prevention and treatment of medical illnesses. We will guide you to the care of specialists when appropriate. We are available for medical problems and emergency call 24 hours a day.

Each patient will establish a relationship with one physician who will primarily be responsible for your health care. This will provide better continuity of care and a closer patient/physician relationship. If your particular physician is not available, your care will be assumed by another partner physician until your primary physician returns.

Our goal is to provide the best medical care to our patients. Please use this website to understand the process of appointments, office procedures, medical information and local resources. We would also like you to use this website for requesting referrals, prescriptions, messages for your physician and general medical information.
